Y'all: When I try to insert an equation in Office 2013, all of the available equations are empty. Selecting 'insert a new equation,' causes Word to go to a blank screen, and the next keystroke crashes Word itself. I've tried to repair Office, and I've tried installing the 'compatibility pack.' This looks like a major bug in Word that's going to impact my work. Any ideas on when MS plans to fix this, or any other suggested fixes?

As an aside, this is the second major problem I've found in Word 2013 -the first being complete lack of support for Wacom tablets in Word, for which the answer from Microsoft is, 'you're correct, it's not supported, and we don't know if it will ever be.' I hate buying alpha software. No, installing the compatibility pack doesn't stop the equation editor from crashing. No, repairing office doesn't fix the problem, either. You might note, in my original post: 'I've tried to repair Office, and I've tried installing the 'compatibility pack.'
' And in my second post: '.I get a dialog box that the application needed to edit the equation isn't starting, and asking me if I'd like to repair my installation. I go through the process (including a reboot), and it still doesn't work.' I'd already found that thread, and tried the fixes suggested there, before I posted a new thread. I am having MAJOR problems with my Microsoft word 2013. Every time I open the program it tells me that the template was changed and ask me if I want to keep the change. Regardless of rather I say yes or no once it opens it shuts down and tells me that I will notified when there is a fix for an issue with the drivers. I need this program I paid good money for!
